Prepare + Plan Workshop
August 27, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Prepare your organization – and your community – with an effective disaster preparedness plan.
Presented by Red Cross and Community Foundation of the Verdugos
On August 27th from 9 am-1 pm, come take the first step in creating a better prepared and more resilient Verdugo region (Burbank, Glendale, La Crescenta, La Canada-Flintridge, Montrose, Verdugo City and surrounding communities). Join us as the American Red Cross and Emergency Network Los Angeles (ENLA) show you how to design your own preparedness and continuity plan. Red Cross will lead an engaging training on individual and family preparedness, and ENLA will cover the fundamentals of a Continuity of Operations Plan for your organization. Being prepared not only saves businesses and organizations, it also saves lives.
Studies show that being prepared is the most critical step in a community’s ability to recover from a major disaster. A simple preparedness and continuity plan can mean the difference between being lost in the chaos and being a partner in the recovery process. In the event of a disaster, not only will you be protecting your own operations, your constituents will also be looking to you for support and direction.
Lunch will be provided.
For further information, feel free to reach out to Amira Seaboch, Foundations Officer for the Northern Valleys Chapter of the American Red Cross, at (562) 490-4020 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope you will be able to join us on August 27th!
